Alberto Burri
Biography
Alberto Burri (1915-1995) is the Italian artist, with Lucio Fontana, to have made the greatest contribution to Italian international art scene of the second World War.
His artistic research is spaced from painting to sculpture with the sole end of the investigation of the expressive qualities of matter.
This makes him occupy fully a leading place in that trend is called 'informal'.
